TIPS FOR USE
Can metal accessories such as buttons, buckles and zippers damage your machines?
Yes, they can. It is advisable to reverse the piece of clothing so that such accessories do not to get in contact with the heated parts of the machines.
Is pre-washing of basic importance in terms of high quality washing?
The choice depends on the kind and amount of stains to be cleaned. It is to be taken into account that pre-washing renders the whole washing cycle longer.
How much detergent do you need to use for each cycle?
First of all it must be said that a larger quantity of detergent does not correspond to a better quality of the washing cycle. Follow the instructions of your supplier.
Can all kinds of fabrics be dried in the dryer?
No, not all of them. Our advice is to check on the label if bed or table linen, underwear or kitchen cloths can be dried up with the dryer.
In addition to this do not use the machine to wash linen, cloths or underwear which has been already washed, stained or ironed with inflammable materials.
Do linen, cloths or underwear to be dried up with the dryer, have to be completely wet?
No, they do not. They should be first well centrifuged at a high speed and our advice is to reach a maximum level of residual humidity equalling 50%. After the relevant cycle, to render ironing in the mangle easier linen and underwear or cloths should have a minimum level of residual humidity equalling 10%-20%.
After a single cycle, do you have to wait for the dryer to cool down before proceeding with a new cycle?
No, you do not. The dryer can be used immediately. What is important is unloading rapidly the machine once the cycle has finished thus avoiding a prolonged contact of the linen, cloths or underwear with the cylinder.
Can any fabric be ironed?
No, not any fabric can be ironed, for instance you cannot iron synthetic fabrics, fabrics with any plastic parts or printed cloths.
Can you iron fabrics of any thickness?
If you wish to achieve a very good result without damaging the machines, it is advisable not to iron fabrics more than 8mm thick.
Can you iron multi-ply cloths, linen or underwear ?
It is advisable not to iron such fabrics. The reason is that the inner parts risk being ironed not in a good way; what we suggest is that you use the whole surface of the roll.
Do cloths, underwear and linen or similar have to be perfectly dry to be ironed?
No, they do not. On the contrary the relevant cloth should have a degree of humidity equalling 5-10%, because in this way the ironing quality will be better and any folds will be “removed”. A higher degree of humidity is not suggested as it would simply lead to an excessive consumption of energy.
TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
How do you calculate the capacity of a machine?
Washing machines: inner volume of the drum expressed in dm3/10
Dryers: inner volume of the drum expressed in dm3/20
How do you calculate the G factor?
The G factor depends on the speed of the centrifugation turns and on the diameter of the bucket.
G factor = 0,58 x (r. p. m.)2 x inner diameter of the bucket (mm) / 1.000.000
Do machines have to be fixed on the floor?
Centrifugal drying and washing machines of the RC series are provided with specific anchoring equipment or secondary frames to fix them on the floor.
Washing machines able to centrifuge at a high speed up to 11 kg are supplied with regulation rubber feet, from 14 kg up to more than 14 kg fixing with some fishers is required (such fishers are not supplied with the machine).
Dryers and ironing machines must not be fixed on the floor, all you need to do is to regulate the above-cited feet..
How long does usually last a washing cycle?
It depends on the incoming water temperature, on pressure and exhaust/unloading conditions. Conventionally 60’ including loading/unloading.
Which is the best level of water?
This depends on the kind of detergent, in the IMESA machines the water level can be set to achieve the best possible result..
What about the advantages of the inverter?
- gradual increase in centrifugation speed
- planned control of the bucket speed both during the washing cycle and during centrifugation
- reduction of current highs/peaks
What connections are necessary?
These are the necessary connections: cold water (or if possible, hot water, exhaust mechanism, electric energy (or steam).
In case of steam heating, what is required for the installation?
Our machines are provided with a valve assembled internally and the installer has to place the filter, the steam trap and the respective tube.
Advantages and disadvantages of the several kinds of heating:
Electrical heating: this is the most expensive system, but it does not require any specific caution when it comes to unloading.
Steam heating: you can use the steam system for heating already present.
Gas heating: the exhaust system must comply with the relevant norms concerning burnt gases and when in proximity of residential areas or houses, blocks of flats etc… , the system has to comply with such norms up to the roof.
How much electric energy is needed for each programme?
It depends on the temperature of incoming water.
Do exhaust liquids need a specific treatment?
No, they do not. They comply with national rules.
MAINTENANCE
In instruction manuals you will find all the necessary information for a correct maintenance.
How often is maintenance required for machines?
Washing machines: mechanical components need servicing and oil every 6 months on average (it depends on the cycles),
Dryers: no specific maintenance is needed, filters need regular cleaning after 2 drying cycles,
Ironing machines: chromium-plated areas have to be cleaned, the cover and the stuffing of the iron board require annual ordinary maintenance; in addition every 5 years extraordinary maintenance is required. Belting is exposed to wear.
How do you carry out waxing?
Waxing is to be carried out regularly: after heating the ironing machine, have a cloth provided with a wax coat go through the machine more than once, then clean the ironing machine by means of a clean cloth (with no wax coat).
